Sarah Deller is an actor, writer, and cat enthusiast, based in Toronto, Ontario. She grew up on a farm outside Glencoe, Ontario, and spent several years in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In high school, Sarah participated in the Stratford Festival's "Shakespeare School" for three summers. The program was hugely influential on her personal and artistic development.
Sarah has an MA in English from Dalhousie University. Her research interests are many and varied, including Early Modern English, women's writing, and contemporary critical theory. She recently graduated from Dalhousie University with First Class Honours in both Acting and English. In 2013, she was one of two recipients of the Stitt Memorial Award, which is presented to two students who show passion and promise in acting. In 2014, she was the recipient of the Christine Zinck Award for Acting. She was the recipient of the John & Glenna Towse Scholarship, the James W. Tupper Graduate Fellowship in English, and the Archibald MacMechan / IODE Scholarship in English.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys listening to Celtic music and wearing denim. She is known for her distinctive voice, her love of Maggie Smith and Judi Dench, and her extensive collection of cat paraphernalia.
