last week I felt so lucky to participate in a talkback after our Thursday evening performance, and I think I'll be participating in both of the next two, as well. I'm particularly excited to get a chance to talk to high school students -- talkbacks meant so much to me when I attended theatre in high school.
opening! /
Tonight we open Love and Information at Canadian Stage! There have been a lot of changes in the past couple days of rehearsal / previews and I'm excited to share it all with an audience again tonight.
coming soon! /
Perhaps because I am so nervous at auditions (!), either when I have to sing or otherwise (!), a little known fact about me is that I am a classically trained soprano and that, in addition to my other pursuits, I aspire to be a folk singer. To rectify this, I have long been considering filming a series of videos of myself and friends singing various traditional songs I find really beautiful.
So tonight, my partner and I am meeting to rehearse what will probably be the first song in this series: a rendition of the English song "What Will We Do."
Watch this space!! ~*~get excited!!~*~ (this means u, ma).

November was an awesome month for me, with lots of exciting theatre news and opportunities. However, perhaps my greatest accomplishment from last month remains getting a perfect score at Harry Potter trivia.
the TYRANT is on the throne! /
TYRANT is underway at the Waiting Room on Almon Street. Cheers to all those who have seen the show thus far. This is our closing weekend –– I must be one of very few actors who actually loves two-show days and I'm looking forward to sharing the show four times in the next 48h!
Tune in to catch Ira Henderson and I talk about the show on Backstage Banter, today from 1:30-2:30 on CKDU 88.1FM.
